HE'S BOUGHT US

You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Corinthians 6:20 NIV

In a business acquisition transaction, a company that's acquired is acquired with its assets and liabilities mostly at a price higher than the net asset of the acquired company. This excess price over the net asset is called goodwill. When a company is bought it ceases to work in its own interest but in the interest of the parent.

Our scripture for today says we were bought at a price. Christ bought us with his blood. Blood is life hence buying us with his blood means giving us his life so that we can live. We were full of liabilities (sin). We had no goodwill, we were dead, poor, sick, etc yet God still loved us and he purchased us with the blood of his son at a goodwill (Grace).

Now that we have been purchased we are not our own. We exist for God as a result we ought to honour him with our bodies. May the Lord help us to love for him. Amen!

We are living in a generation where God has made it easy to spread his word across the world. Technology has come to aid the spread of the gospel.
