GROW IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND GRACE OF OUR LORD

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." 2 Peter 3:18 NIV To grow means to increase in size, amount, to become better or improved, more developed or mature. It can also refer to the passage from childhood to adulthood. We all have growth expectation. We want to see growth in our business, income levels, relationship, marriage, children, etc. We don't want to be stagnated but to move forward. I want us to do a personal assessment of our Christian lives. Have you grown ever since you accepted Christ as your Lord and personal saviour? What is your level of maturity and reasoning as a Christian? How well do you know Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour? Our answers to the above questions depend on our knowledge of Him. Our ability to stay away from the pleasures of the world depends on our maturity, our level of growth in the Lord. The time has come to put in effort to grow as Christians. Jes

DESTRUCTION AWAITS THE DISOBEDIENT

Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. Jude 1:5 NIV The Lord delivered all the Israelites from the land of Egypt but those who were disobedient were destroyed without mercy. In our days, the Lord sent Jesus Christ to die for our redemption. Glory be to God that we have been redeemed from our sins and the power of darkness. What I want us to ponder over is our lifestyle after we have been redeemed. Do we still live our old lifestyle? Do we live to please the flesh or the Spirit. Though we have been redeemed, we have a role to play to make our calling complete. We have got to work out our salvation through obedience to God's instructions. That day is coming when the Lord will bring destruction on whoever refused to obey his instructions just as he did to the Israelites who disobeyed after they were delivered "for many are called, but few are chosen."

BUILD YOURSELF UP IN THE FAITH

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Jude 1:20-21 NIV The Christian walk is characterized with lots of missiles thrown from the camp of the enemy at any point in time. Think about what happened to Job and the other great servants of God. Their faith was tested on many occasions. The apostles for instance, were chained, imprisoned, and flogged but because their faith was firmly built on the ROCK, they never gave up. Job, the Bible says never sinned against God in all his difficulties. To build our faith, we need to be connected with the Holy Spirit who will teach, remind, direct, rebuke, and comfort us in the good and bad times. We ought to fast and pray in the Spirit of God to be in tune with Him as we build our faith May God's love and mercy be your portion as you take steps to build up your faith. Go

ALL THINGS HOLD TOGETHER IN CHRIST

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17 NIV Everything is made perfect in Christ Jesus. We have been made whole in him, as such our lives will never fall apart. Greater is He that has called us. Isn't he greater than your problems? In Christ Jesus everything hold tightly together. Jesus has supremacy over our lives. It is in Christ alone that our finances, marriage, relationships, occupation, education, etc hold together. Nothing that is kept in him can fall apart. Let's submit everything that concerns our lives in His hands. Come to the Lord today with your challenges. He's available to provide solutions to them. May the Lord be with us. God bless you. OH GOD! IS IT TOO LATE?

God! Is it too late to save me from destruction? Is it too late to let the world know you love me? Is it too late to let the world know you exist in my life? Is it too late to turn my life around? Is it too late to heal my sickness and my wounds? Is it to late to make me whole? Is it too late to enrich me with you Spirit, power and love? Is it too late to say to the storm in my life "Peace be still?" Oh God of mercy! Turn your face to me. Answer my prayer when I come to your presence. The enemy is after me, rescue me God Let the world know that you're my Shepherd so I shall not want. When it's in God's hands, it's not too late. www.rokansah.blogspot.com www.facebook.com/rkansah

THE LORD CARES FOR THE RIGHTEOUS

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”   Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 1 Peter 3:12-13 NIV The Lord didn't call us to shame us. He called us to care for us as we worship him in truth and in spirit. The Lord keeps His eyes on us wherever we find ourselves. He doesn't just keep watching over us but his ears are attentive to us whenever we call on him in prayer. Living a righteous life grants us absolute protection in God. Who can harm us if we are eager to do good? Once we do good and we enjoy God's protection we shall always come out victorious from all deadly situations. It's my prayer that we posses the will power to pay the price to live a righteous life to enjoy life in Christ. The worst thing to ever happen to man is when the face of the Lord is against them. May the Lord never turn his face against you. Be righteous in the eyes of t

FORGIVE JUST AS YOU HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32 NIV Bitterness, rage, anger, brawl, slander, and malice contaminate our relationship with one another. So long as we live in the flesh we will hurt others and others will hurt us consciously or unconsciously. But what gains do we reap if we keep the pains which accompany the hurt? Let's emulate God who saved us in Christ Jesus even when we were sinners. The wheel of our salvation is the Love of God. God wouldn't send Jesus for our salvation if he doesn't love us. Where love reigns there is forgiveness. The tent of LOVE is so wide to cover over a multitude of sins. Show compassion and learn how to forgive just as God has forgiven you in Christ Jesus. May the bless his word and may you be blessed as well. ROK ANSAH www.rokansah.blogspot.com www.facebook.com

WHY WE ARE WELL EQUIPPED

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:11‭-‬12 KJV Yesterday, the word of God made us understand how we are sufficiently equipped as armies in the Kingdom of God. Today, I want us to briefly look at why God in his wisdom, has equipped us with His Spirit. First of all, He made His spirit to dwell in us because, though we are in this world, we are not of this world. Secondly, as God's army, we wrestle not against flesh and blood. We do not face physical troops but spiritual. The Spirit of God therefore comes upon us to elevate us to spiritual status, He makes us heavenly beings, He sets us above our opponents which are principalities, powers, rulers of darkness in this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. Let's therefore

WE ARE WELL EQUIPPED IN CHRIST

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:4‭-‬5 KJV The word of God says when the Holy Spirit comes on us we shall receive power. As temples of God, the Holy Spirit is now in us and we have that power. Remember that we have not been given the spirit of fear but of power, love and of sound mind. There's no way the enemy can defeat a spirit filled man. Once we are filled with the Holy Spirit, He does all our battles for us. He's always at the forefront of our warfare. With him as our commander in chief, we have a mighty weapon through God to pull down the stronghold of the devil, cast down imaginations, we take the enemy captive. I mean, the spirit filled man has what it takes to tame the enemy. We do not run from the enemy but

THE JOURNEY TO THE GRAVE

The journey to the grave. Is not meant for only the brave. The timid shall go as well as the powerful. Both the rich and the poor shall be there. The master and the servant will both find their way there. No matter who you are, What you eat, Or what you wear, A day is coming that you will be swept away by death. It is the journey from a known world to an unknown one. Neither your consent nor preparedness matters. Whether prepared or unprepared; When the day comes, you have no say. You will be swept to your home of eternal stay. Take note of these things; As the days go by, you are getting closer. As you breath in and out you are nearing the grave. Anytime you celebrate your birthday, a year is taken from your life span. Remember our life is but a breath. There comes a day, That the eyes that sees us now will see us no more. Our names would be called but we can't respond. We shall be laid down in the dust, We shall be searched for but shall not be seen, Naked

LET'S MAKE MARRIAGE BEAUTIFUL

Better to live on a corner of the roof than to share a house with a quarrelsome wife. Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife. Proverbs 21:9, 19. I hope wives too wouldn't want to live with quarrelsome and nagging  husbands. Let's make marriage so beautiful by letting God be its C.E.O. Invite God into your relationship or marriage. Establish it on the foundation of the scriptures. Make the scriptures the constitution of your relationship or marriage. Pray and share the word together. The family that pray together live together. Have a good day. ROK ANSAH www.rokansah.blogspot.com www.facebook.com/rkansah

HOW DOES GOD MEASURE LIFE?

Then he said, "Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own." Luke 12:15 NLT We live in a day where corrupt, wicked and evil practices are widespread all in the name of accumulating wealth. Society today embrace the rich regardless of how they made their wealth. God is not against the rich, He is not against living a good life. In fact, our prosperity is God's priority for He wish above all things that we prosper even as our souls proper. What God detests is using questionable means to accumulate wealth or to gain advantage over the other. He doesn't measure our lives base on how much we have but how well we acquired them and using them to solve societal problems including helping the deprived. Let's not live like the rich man whose land yielded an abundant harvest, stored the surplus grain and said to himself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”  “But God said to hi

WHERE'S MY NAME WRITTEN?

"Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15 NIV Are you in the good books of God? Let's interrogate ourselves if our way of life so far pleases the Lord. If God is pleased with our choices in life, then we are hopeful of eternal joy otherwise eternal destruction awaits us. "...The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.  They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear." Matthew 13:40-43 NIV God forgive us our iniquities and straighten our ways before you. May our names be found in the book of life for us to shine like the sun in your Kingdom. Father, take away our weakness and anything that cause us to sin and fill us with the Holy Spirit. May the bles

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

You loved me with all your heart. You appreciated the little things I was doing for you. Honestly, you were the definition of love. You consoled me when I was depressed. When friends and family turned their back to me; You accommodated me in your heart. You didnt grow weary in loving me. Even when things were difficult for you, You made things easier for me. I never asked you for anything. But you provided me with everything. You knew what I needed in any given time. You knew the song to sing to bring smiles on my face. You were always there to cover my nakedness. You made sure tears will not drop from my eyes in my challenging moments. If that was not love, let the people say. Ironically, I didnt notice all that you were doing for me. As you were pressing on to sustain the love; My heart was far chasing someone who took me for nothing. Now I am back to my senses. My heart beat is shouting after your name. Open your arms and welcome me with a lovely hug. I hope it

WALK IN THE LIGHT OF GOD

"... God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." 1 John 1:5-7 NIV God is light and in him there's no darkness at all. Remember during creation when darkness covered over the surface of the deep, God said "Let there be light and there was light". God saw that the light was good and he separated the light from the darkness. We have been called from darkness into the light of God. We have been made righteous through the blood of Jesus. God saw the darkness in our life and he said let there be light and indeed the light came. Let's actively walk in the light we have received. The closer we get to God, the brighter his light shines on us. If you are being threatened by any darkness (sin) in your life,

TRUST IN GOD ALONE (Pt 2)

3 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: he will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. 7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him.. Psalm 37:3-7.  Trusting in God means depending on him absolutely for everything concerning our life. He who trusts in God must be faithful to him and our faithfulness to God comes through our reverence and obedience for Him. Through our obedience for God, our trust produces righteousness. God cares a lot about the righteous person. Remember the righteous person may have many troubles but the Lord delivers him from them all, not one of his bones will be broken. King David said, he never saw the righteous forsaken or his children begging bread. Make the Lord your trusted father and you will see his glory in your life. God bl

TRUST IN GOD ALONE

7 But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. 8 They will be like a tree planted by water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8. We draw our strength from where we have put our trust. To trust is just like an investment, it yields returns. The returns or reward can be negative (disappointment, curse, disgrace, death, etc) or positive (blessing) depending on where our trust is kept. Will you trust in a mere flesh and be cursed or in the Lord whose name is our strong tower and be blessed abundantly? For it's written: "cursed is the one who trusts in a man, who draws strength from a mere flesh..." Those who trust and are confident in the Lord will never lack anything good for the Lord will provide them all their needs according to his riches. Is it not the Lord who created us? Doesn't he k
