Mark 8:31. Talking about the significance of the message of the cross to us who have believed, let's look at the pains and shame Jesus went through for our righteousness sake. Jesus predicted his death, the torture he would go through and his resurrection to his disciples. Isaiah 53:3-4a says, "He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces. He was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering." Let's ask ourselves, what did Jesus do wrong to go through all these pains?
