THE QUALITIES OF A GOOD CHURCH LEADER

An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.
Titus 1:6-9 NIV

Every organisation needs good leadership to thrive. The church is not an exception. For the physical and spiritual growth of the church, there's always the need for our leaders to possess in an increase measure the qualities enumerated in the scriptures above.

At a point, we are all in one way or the other leaders of the church. The ministry leaders and their executives, the ushers, the choristers, instrumentalists, cell leaders, etc. At every moment someone is leading something in the church. No matter how small your portfolio is in the church you are still a leader and you really need the attributes in Titus 1:6-9 to make a difference.

Let's pray for the leadership of the church for them to possess the right attributes to effectively lead the church. Amen
