DO NOT LOOK BACK
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
Philippians 3:13 NIV
There are two things we see when we look back; past failures and successes. Past success may breed complacency whilst past failures may breed pains. These are not necessary conditions for our present and future development. The only thing we must carry from the past to the present is the lesson we learn from our experience with the past.
Lot and his wife were instructed not to look back when fleeing from Sodom and Gomorrah, his wife looked back and she became a pillar of salt.
Let's not be complacent with what we have achieved so far nor be in pain for what has eluded us. One thing we must do is to forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead for there's a lot ahead than those behind.
