DESTRUCTION AWAITS THE DISOBEDIENT

Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.
Jude 1:5 NIV

The Lord delivered all the Israelites from the land of Egypt but those who were disobedient were destroyed without mercy. In our days, the Lord sent Jesus Christ to die for our redemption. Glory be to God that we have been redeemed from our sins and the power of darkness. What I want us to ponder over is our lifestyle after we have been redeemed. Do we still live our old lifestyle? Do we live to please the flesh or the Spirit.

Though we have been redeemed, we have a role to play to make our calling complete. We have got to work out our salvation through obedience to God's instructions. That day is coming when the Lord will bring destruction on whoever refused to obey his instructions just as he did to the Israelites who disobeyed after they were delivered "for many are called, but few are chosen."

To enter into His Kingdom is not about going to church but obeying the Lord, it's not about seeing the light but being the light and living in it.
