GROW IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND GRACE OF OUR LORD

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen."
2 Peter 3:18 NIV

To grow means to increase in size, amount, to become better or improved, more developed or mature. It can also refer to the passage from childhood to adulthood. We all have growth expectation. We want to see growth in our business, income levels, relationship, marriage, children, etc. We don't want to be stagnated but to move forward.

I want us to do a personal assessment of our Christian lives. Have you grown ever since you accepted Christ as your Lord and personal saviour? What is your level of maturity and reasoning as a Christian? How well do you know Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour? Our answers to the above questions depend on our knowledge of Him.

Our ability to stay away from the pleasures of the world depends on our maturity, our level of growth in the Lord. The time has come to put in effort to grow as Christians. Jesus is the word hence feeding on the word and acting on it will accelerate our growth in Him. The baby Christian must become an adult Christian. How willing are you to grow in Him? What quality of Christ do you share? Do you forgive your offenders or you act in vengeance? Do you love, share and care for your neighbour and even your own family?

The more we grow in the knowledge and grace of Christ, the better persons we become to society. As we grow in Christ, we become better examples of Him. If your Christian growth has been stagnated I urge you to feed on the right food, the word of God to enhance your growth.

We are living in a generation where God has made it easy to spread his word across the world. Technology has come to aid the spread of the gospel.
